TENT CAMPING:

If you don't have your own tent or camping equipment, Maple Ponds Equestrian Center rents excellent tents and equipment (such as propane stoves).

Our larger tents (10'x12') come with two sturdy (single) cots which are capable of supporting up to 250 pounds (each). Extra cots are available at a nominal charge.

Our smaller tents (8'x8') come with a comfortable foam ground "mattress".

Our tents are clean, weatherproof, and more than do the job.

Horse Campers staying in our tents must bring their own linens, pillows, bed-rolls, sleeping bags, etcetera.

It is also recommended that you bring flashlights, a lantern or two (preferably a battery operated lantern to use in the tent), and cooking utensils.

A propane cook stove with disposable propane bottles is also a great camping tool to have. They're inexpensive, highly efficient and really easy to use.

Anne and I have enjoyed sleeping in similar tents while camping with our horses, and have always found the convenience to be great.

By renting our tents (and/or camping equipment), you have nothing to set up - and nothing to take apart.

Rentals of tents and equipment must be made at the same time when making a reservation. There is a deposit for tent rentals of $100 to be returned at check-out as long as there is no damage to the tent, cots or equipment.

Ice for your cooler is available not more than 10 minutes away, as is just about anything else you might need and forgot to bring.
