HEALTH REQUIREMENTS | RULES | LIABILITY WAIVERS

RULES:

NOT MANY RULES – BUT A FEW TO NOTE:

WE LOVE DOGS - BUT:

Because it is too difficult to depend on dog-owners to control their pets, and because some dogs and specific breeds are aggressive, and could pose a threat to riders and horses, no dogs other than the owners’ dog will be permitted on-property.

Use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere on-property. Neither will excessive drinking that leads to rowdiness.

Campfires cannot be bonfires, and must be tended to at all times, and are restricted to the common area designated for campfires.

Cigarette, pipe and cigar smoking can be dangerous on the trails and in the fields, especially if the areas are dry. Therefore, we ask you not to smoke on the trails.

Also: Smoking is prohibited at all common areas including the bathrooms. And when smoking, we ask you not to litter the grounds with your butts.

People using any of our facilities will be expected to clean up after themselves and leave Maple Ponds Equestrian Center as pristine as they found it when they arrived.

For the respect of other Horse Campers, all sites must be quiet as soon as night falls. This includes loud voices, music, generators - etcetera.

Riding “yahoos” who abuse their horses, and/or make the Horse Camping experience at Maple Ponds Equestrian Center unpleasant or unsafe for others, will not be tolerated.

In the event that Horse Campers or Day Riders act in a fashion that results in their expulsion from Maple Ponds Equestrian Center, the person or people asked to leave will leave immediately, and forfeit any and all money they’ve paid.

Equipment check-in and checkout is at noon, but Campers can move their equipment to a staging area and continue to ride for the day.

All fees for the use of Maple Ponds Equestrian Center must be paid in advance.

A FEW THINGS NOT TO DO

We do not want to tell you how to ride your horse. But, because of the nature of our trails, and for the safety of other riders, we ask you not to gallop. Cantering (loping) and trotting are fine wherever you think it is appropriate.

Our property is well defined from our neighbors' properties. We ask that you do not ride off the trails of Maple Ponds. Also, the property lines are separated by barbed wire fencing that could be a danger to you and your horse.

As the name suggests, Maple Ponds has quite a few ponds on the property. These ponds have been dug to provide drainage. Some of them are deep. They all have steep sides. None of them are safe to walk your horse into.
